1. Introduction & Agreement

These Terms and Conditions govern all courier, air freight, cargo booking, and doorstep pickup services provided by Ziva Courier & Cargo (also operating as Zivaa Courier Service, managed by Pooran Mal Choudhary). By handing over a parcel, booking pickup, or generating an Air Waybill (AWB), the sender ("Consignor") explicitly acknowledges and agrees to be bound by the terms outlined below.

2. Chargeable Weight & Dimension Rules

As per International Air Transport Association (IATA) and airline cargo regulations:

• Actual Physical Weight: The gross weight of the package including all internal and external packaging materials, measured on calibrated electronic digital scales.
• Volumetric (Dimensional) Weight: Calculated using the standard formula: Volumetric Weight (Kg) = (Length in cm × Width in cm × Height in cm) / 5000.
• Billing Standard: The final invoice is strictly generated on whichever value is greater (Actual Weight vs. Volumetric Weight).

3. Rate Card Terms & Price Tiers

Promotional per-Kg rates featured on our website (e.g., USA ₹984/kg*, UK ₹635/kg*, UAE ₹459/kg*) are baseline promotional rates specifically applicable to bulk consignments measuring 50 Kg and above. For lighter shipments (0.5 Kg to 49 Kg), documents, or special handling items (such as homemade food, sweets, and doctor-prescribed medicines), customized slab rates apply.

4. Consignor Responsibilities & Declarations

The sender certifies that:

• All sender and receiver contact information (Full Name, Address, Postal Code, Phone Number, Email) is 100% accurate and verifiable.
• The contents of the package are accurately declared in the commercial invoice and packing list.
• For prescription medicines, a valid registered doctor's prescription and pharmacy tax invoice must be provided.
• For food items, all articles must be non-perishable, commercially packaged, or vacuum-sealed.

6. Transit Timelines & Force Majeure

Standard delivery estimates (3 to 6 business days for express air routes) are calculated from the flight departure date. Ziva Courier & Cargo shall not be held liable for delays arising from Force Majeure events, airline schedule changes, customs clearance backlogs, bad weather conditions, or statutory holidays.

7. Packaging & Fragile Shipments

While Ziva Courier provides complimentary 7-layer protective cardboard packaging and cushioning, fragile articles (glass, ceramics, delicate handicraft) are shipped under the sender's risk unless special transit insurance coverage is opted and documented in writing.

8. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Pickup appointments may be cancelled free of charge anytime before our delivery executive arrives. If a shipment is cancelled after pickup but prior to airport manifest handover, freight is refunded minus basic local transportation and box packaging costs. Once handed over to international airlines, consignments cannot be recalled.
